This weeks playlist features new songs from 10 different artists in the month of April. Currently, I’m jamming to Melissa Etheridge’s new song, “Fearless Love” and I feel it’s quite empowering, just amazing the way she sings it.
One that I couldn’t include in the playlist is The Apples in Stereo. The video features Elijah Wood, yay! (sorry for that, I’m both a woman and I have a thing for short, nerds). The band is signed to Elijah Wood’s label, Simian Records and were the first band Elijah signed. He also directed the band’s first video, though, he didn’t direct this one, but he is in the video. Take a look at the video for “Dance Floor” above.
I am far from done with all the jewelry I want to make, but I wanted to at least post that I AM still working with the site, I have just been pretty occupied. That said…
So after working on jewelry (I am still in a experimentive state with it all) and fan videos for the last 2 days, add to that, listening to some Emilie Autumn, I realized, I really want to make a bucket list.
I want to have at least 100 things on the list, as a start, but I think 100 is a pretty good sized list, depending what I have on it I guess. Anyway, I am going to make a rough draft of it right now, and I will add things as I go through my week. When I am all finished, I will make my post here.
If anyone wants to get in on this, (*coughtishyryancough*) that would be awesome, but remember, these are the things we must do before we die, before we’re too old, and before we lose ourselves completely.
Okay, So I’m late with this playlist, and yes, I did my part in the celebration yesterday. 4.20, who can blame me?
I am posting 90’s songs that I like and that uplift me and remind me of fun times as a kid, (90’s kids here )with even a mixture of 420 friendly in there.
These songs are songs that I loved growing up, as I was really into music. Butthole Surfers remind me of old school MTV, when there were MTV news briefs between commercials and they actually showed full music videos during the day. Supergrass reminds me of making feather pens (think Clueless) and putting on make-up in class. There are so many more memories with these songs and many others. I wanted to try to keep the songs in the same soft rock genre, but I may do hip hop or r&b next.
Conan is going to TBS with George Lopez. I haven’t seen the exact date for the premiere of his new show, but it is set to premiere in November.
I wish I could have went to see him on tour, but knowing he’ll be back on TV has me excited again. So, after waiting for True Blood to premiere, I also have Conan’s show to wait for.
Now, instead of “I’m with CoCo”, it’s now, “Go LoCo!!!” You can watch the video below where George Lopez talks about talking with Conan, as well as the rest of his monologue.
Jónsi of sigur rós has released his solo album, go. Jónsi is the guitarist and vocalist for the Icelandic post-rock band Sigur Rós. He is known for his use of a cello bow on guitar, which makes me want to listen to more Sigur Rós and more of his new album. The song “Go Do” is currently one of my faves that I have heard so far from him.
I wanted to share some ringtones I made as well as the site, mytinyphone.com and the ringtones other people have made. There is also wallpaper, games and more that you can find for your phone.
