So in keeping up with this week’s theme in fan videos, this week’s music playlist features songs from vampire movies and series.

For those of you who love the music featured in True Blood, I found a website that has lists and a forum about the music from the series. Take a look

Since Ryan and I have been searching and discovering new music sites, (he currently loves Pandora and has got me into it) I found another music site that will be helpful in finding new music.

Gnoosic features a section that enables you to put in 3 bands you enjoy and finds new music bands based on what you already like. You can also discuss as well as check out the artist map.

This weeks playlist includes artists I have just discovered and re-discovered because of the site.

Also, if you’re into books and movies, you can discover and discuss your favorites as well.

SomethingALaMode

SomethingALaMode are Thomas Roussel and Yannick Grandjean, an “electro-string” duo (I think I would add, “and a little bit of funk”) from France. The duo comprises of a violinist (Thomas) and Cellist (Yannick) with computers by their sides.

Listen to the tracks below, they are definately “ear sex.”

Talented Miss Emilie Autumn

I wanted to make a post for Emilie Autumn, because I have decided, she deserves one of her very own. She may, later have her very own section on the site, who knows? I love her music so much.

Emilie has been a guest artist for artists and shows like, Love, Otep, Billy Corgan, and TV’s “Metalocalypse. Added bonus? She plays the violin, which first drew me to her. She plays the electric violin, a Fender, which got me inspired to buy my own. :) Her music is a cross of metal, victorian classical influences and industrial, all together, plus her shreds on the violin, so dark and beautiful. (I also, just reminded myself I HAVE to practice tomorrow, which makes me excited!)

I introduced Tish and Ryan to her music (Tish is also a big Emilie fan) and I cannot wait until I can one day see her live. The shows look amazing, I really hope she tours again. As of now she is doing shows in Austrailia.

Listen to the playlist I have below, believe me, you will soon join the Asylum and become a Plague Rat.

oh, and my fan video for Miss Autumn.
